Be my Valentine

I know I am a day late, but Valentines day is a good topic. It is so controversial. You don't know how many people I have heard either complaining about how stupid Valentines day is, or how many roses so and so got in their bouquet. I find it quite amusing actually. I am neutral on the subject of V-Day. This is the first year I have actually gotten flowers and a stuffed animal (clich'e I know) and I must admit, it was kind of nice. In previous years I never gave a second thought to V-day because I never expected anything out of it; while there were some girls in tears because their boyfriend only got them one rose..or whatnot. And then there are those girls that are very hostile towards the mention of Valentines day. I never came up with a reasoning for this except the fact that maybe these girls are jealous? You never know, no one likes to be reminded of how lonely they really are. And Valentine's is just the day for that unfriendly reminder. Although Valentine's day may be hated by some, it is nice for those girls and guys out there that do have a "special someone". I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day, and for those of you who are Valentine's day haters.....Maybe next year will be your year!?!
